FLY IN FOR SURGERY PROGRAM
At The Portland Rhinoplasty Center, many of our patients fly in from all over the world. We are conveniently located just minutes from the Seattle-Tacoma international airport.
Step 1 Preparation:

Jamie Jaramillo
The Portland Rhinoplasty Center appreciates that our patients’ need information as to whether they are a candidate for surgery prior to an in office consultation. Therefore, before meeting with Dr. Portuese in person, he will review the photographs to provide information regarding anticipated results and whether someone is a candidate for surgery.
Photographs should be submitted via e-mail to jjaramillo@seattlefacial.com. Jamie will work directly with Dr. Portuese to answer your questions as well as determining whether you are a surgical candidate and she will contact you within 48 hours of receiving your photographs
Please see examples of the photos we would need below:
It is important that any photographs sent be of sufficient quality and the above views, so that we can adequately assess cosmetic concerns.
Step 2 Consult/ Surgery:
Should a patient decide they are ready to book surgery with our office, we will schedule a pre-operative appointment with one of our nurses over the phone to review health history. This will determine if a patient is ready to travel for a consult with Dr. Portuese as well as a surgical procedure.
A thorough in-office consultation is essential for obtaining a positive outcome. During this consultation, Dr. Portuese will examine the patient and explain the procedure in order to create an individualized surgical plan to achieve desired goals. Dr. Portuese will also provide detailed pre and post- operative instructions, which should be carefully followed to allow for a complete recovery and minimize any chance of complications.
Step 3 Recover:
Patients should plan on staying in Seattle for approximately 7 to 10 days after surgery. Rhinoplasty candidates will need a 24 hour caregiver, and Facelift candidates will need a 48 hour caregiver to stay with them after the procedure. This is to ensure proper post-operative care. If a patient does not have someone in the area who can take care of them after the procedure, we can recommend someone.
Upon returning home, we will be available via e-mail or phone for any post operative questions. If a patient feels as though they need medical assistance, we can refer them to a local physician in their area. Our patients’ health and safety will continue to remain our number one priority.
