Things To Do in Portland Oregon!
There is no argument that Oregon is very historically beautiful! That reason alone should be the number one motivation to want to take a visit and explore around! There are so many great sites and places to do many fun things. I am going to not only educate you on some of those things but I’m going to excite you and motivate you to come see everything that is in store if you decide to visit Oregon.
The first thing I would recommend is to visit some of the historic sites Oregon has to offer. If you are a museum lover or have a love for science, check out The Oregon Museum of Science and industry. You can book in advance and take one of their special tours. They have the Portland Hop-On Hop-Off Tour where you will have fun sightseeing while traveling on a trolley. You will be visiting places like the Washington Park, the Pearl District and the Pioneer Square. Or you can book the Combo tour which includes the Hop-On Hop-Off tour plus the Columbia River Gorge Tour! If you want to just tour the museum you can stay and explore inside. You will learn about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. All for adults and children.
If you plan on seeing more beautiful sites then make sure you stop by and take the Mt Hood Day Trip from Portland to Multnomah Falls and Hood River. While on this tour you can explore the Multnomah waterfalls, Latourell Falls and Wahkeena Falls. This tour group is small for a more personal experience while touring. If you like to be outside exploring the beautiful scenery while also getting a nice little workout on then you should take a fulfilling 2 hour hike through douglas fir and cedar trees with amazing views of Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens.
If you are more of a visual person and would love to see some beautiful art work then you should take a visit to the Art Museum. It consists of Native American and Asian art, with large modern and contemporary art.
After seeing some great sights it’s only right that you take a visit to get some of Oregon’s best food. The first restaurant you should stop by is the Departure Restaurant + Lounge. This a very high-end, upscale restaurant that serves delicious Asian-fusion food with a futuristic look with views of the city. Another restaurant you might want to check out and try some food is the Higgins Restaurant and Bar. They serve classic beers and Oregon wines with tasty food.
If you’d rather just explore and tour while taste testing things then I would suggest going on a wine tasting tour at the Willamette Valley Wine-Tasting Tour. You will be able to have the pleasure in testing out wine at three wineries in Oregon’s famed Willamette Valley wine region. This also includes a small group and hotels along the way.
If you want to enjoy some night-time entertainment and you’re into music and performances then I suggest heading over to the Portland Center Stage at The Armory. At this classic theatre you can enjoy mix of classical, contemporary and world première productions. Many people find the performances jaw dropping, different and entertaining.
These are just a few of the things you can have the pleasure of doing here in Oregon!
